TapTempo.one Cookie Policy

Inspect site storage in a clean browser

A fading pulse with no retained-state marker

Launch statement

The TapTempo.one cookies policy is no cookies at launch. The site has no advertising identifier, analytics cookie, marketing pixel, account token, consent preference cookie, saved BPM, remembered tap sequence, or persistent settings.

This statement is effective August 29, 2026. Browser extensions and hosting security controls can behave separately from application code, so the site’s actual storage and response behavior should be checked periodically.

Active memory is different

While the page is open, JavaScript holds timestamps, count, recent interval values, BPM, and candidates. These values support the current interaction. They are not cookies and are not written to localStorage or sessionStorage.

Reset, a pause over three seconds, reload, tab closure, or browser conditions can remove them. No saved project or recovery exists.

Cache and history

A browser may cache HTML, CSS, scripts, and images. It may record a visited route in history. These browser-controlled mechanisms are distinct from a site-authored cookie and do not create a tempo account.

Extensions, screenshots, clipboard tools, and device management remain outside the site’s control. Visitors may use their browser’s current controls to inspect or clear local traces.

Hosting requests

No cookies does not mean no network traffic. Vercel receives requests needed to deliver the site and may process ordinary infrastructure details. The application does not place taps, BPM, candidates, or count into URLs, metadata, structured data, analytics events, or request payloads.

See the privacy policy for hosting and support distinctions.

No decorative banner

A generic banner asking visitors to accept nonexistent optional cookies would add cognitive load without meaningful choice. The launch interface should state behavior plainly instead.

If future code adds non-essential storage, the operator must classify purpose, provider, duration, legal basis, and user controls. Notice and consent must match actual law and configuration.

How to verify

Use a clean browser profile. Load the tool, make four synthetic taps, and inspect Cookies, Local Storage, and Session Storage for the origin. The expected result is no site-authored entries. Inspect network hosts and query parameters for unexpected third parties or tap values.

Press Reset and reload. Confirm the sequence does not return. Record the browser, observation date, visible storage keys, and external hosts. Repeat after any material dependency or hosting change.

A practical inspection sequence

Begin with developer tools closed, clear data only for taptempo.one, and open a new private window. In the Storage or Application panel, inspect cookies, local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, and service-worker caches separately. Then reload, activate the pulse four times with synthetic timing, use Reset, and inspect those categories again. A valid launch should not add a site-authored record containing count, timestamps, intervals, BPM, half-time, double-time, or preferences.

Next open the Network panel and reload with preservation enabled. List every hostname and note response headers that attempt to set a cookie. Expected requests deliver the site’s static resources; any unexpected analytics, advertising, session, or remote-calculation host needs investigation. Absence of a visible cookie row is not enough if a response header or third-party script tries to create one.

Finally close the tab, reopen the tool, and confirm that it begins at tap zero. Browser history may still show the route and cache may reduce downloads. Those facts do not contradict the product claim because neither restores the sequence.

Common sources of false conclusions

A browser extension can create storage or network requests that the site did not author. A shared profile may contain an old key from an earlier build. A hosting security layer may issue a cookie only under attack mitigation. Conversely, a blank Cookies panel does not prove that IndexedDB, a service worker, a URL parameter, or an external request is clean.

Record the key, domain, path, expiry, SameSite value, initiating script, and steps before assigning cause. Repeat in a clean profile with extensions disabled when safe. The policy promises a product configuration, so reproducible evidence must separate that configuration from browser and infrastructure behavior.

Ongoing review responsibility

The site operator should repeat this audit after dependency updates, hosting-platform changes, and whenever a new script or consent feature is proposed. Results belong in a dated technical checklist. A discovered cookie pauses the “no cookies” claim until its origin, purpose, legal basis, duration, and controls are understood.

This discipline also protects the one-action design. Storage added for convenience can quietly create settings panels, banners, retention questions, and identity state. A future feature must earn that complexity through explicit product approval rather than arriving as a library default.

Future changes

An account, remembered preference, analytics, synchronized history, or remote processing is not part of the current site. Before activating one, the operator must update the effective date and notice, document the data path, and add required security and user controls.

Silently broad wording cannot replace that process.

Contact and operator

Unexpected storage may be reported to support@taptempo.one with route, browser, storage category, key or provider, and a synthetic reproduction. Do not send unrelated tokens or a full profile dump.

TapTempo.one operates the site at 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA.

Frequently asked questions

Why is there no banner?

The current application sets no optional cookies. Periodic technical inspection checks that this statement remains accurate.

Will my tempo return tomorrow?

No. The page does not persist it.

No. It is a separate browser mechanism.

Can policy change?

Yes, but material storage needs review, notice, a revised date, and applicable controls.

Verify the simple claim

Inspect a clean session before and after four taps, Reset, and reload. Report any unexpected persistence with minimal evidence.
